In 1937, Magnus Mysterium, once a celebrated mentalist, vanishes into obscurity after a fatal accident during his 'Mind Over Matter' act, until a strange, unforeseen event on a single night changes his fate, and the world's, forever.
Director Ion Kion created and directed The Shadow of Andromeda to build an analogy about artificial intelligence and humanity's advances — an invention capable of changing the world, where the focus must be on human ethics rather than the technology itself. He also wanted to tell the story of a man who loses everything he had built, and the fragile path back toward purpose, where determination and faith are essential to being reborn. Magnus Mysterium is a mentalist whose gift becomes his downfall — a public tragedy strips him of his name, purpose, and place in the world. Kion wanted to explore what happens after the applause stops, and whether a broken man can still matter when fate calls on him again

El director Ion Kion creó y dirigió The Shadow of Andromeda para construir una alegoria sobre la inteligencia artificial y los avances de la humanidad — un invento capaz de cambiar el mundo, donde el foco debe estar puesto en la ética humana y no en la tecnología en sí misma. También quiso contar la historia de un hombre que pierde todo lo que había construido, y el camino frágil de vuelta hacia el propósito, donde la determinación y la fe son fundamentales para renacer. Ion Kion (Diego Escalada), located in Buenos Aires, Argentina & Montevideo, Uruguay.
He has participated in award-winning campaigns such as Diente, Lürzer's Archive Best Illustrators Worlwide, Fiap, Wave Festival, Clarin Creatividad, Lürzer's Archive Best Digital Artists Worlwide, among others.
His production company, 7th Art Studio, redefines the boundaries of artistic production. We offer a wide variety of artistic resources focus on 3D & 2D animation, A.I Films for commercials and feature films.
